Fennel gratin with bechamel

This is one of those recipes that my husband crazy ... so sometimes one has to satisfy him;) I must say though that the fennel cooked this way do not even dislike me ... . here's the recipe!

Serves 2: 2 fennel

100 g smoked cheese 50 g grated Parmesan cheese salt

bechamel

Procedure:

Clean the fennel and cut the stems removing the outer leaves. Cut the fennel in half then in quarters and finally eliminating the central core.

Meanwhile heat water in a pot with some salt and when the water boils, add the fennel, cook for about 20 minutes and then drain.

Meanwhile, prepare the bechamel . Cover the bottom of a baking sheet with a few spoonfuls of sauce, place the blanched fennel, a layer of smoked cheese, cut into cubes (or slices) and cover with remaining sauce.

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and bake at 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

And here they are freshly baked.

Serve and eat before it cools;)
