cake bath and madeira cake recipe And here is another cake I made for my son's first birthday ...
This is a cake bath on his passion for the bath! The Pupetto wants to represent himself in the bathtub while she cicciottino nice fish (in fact, and sign!). While
realized my biggest baby makes me "but I miss mom!" I did a lot of tenderness in effect at that time because they always pass it along but I wanted Nicolas had "his" birthday cake for the first.
This is a Madeira cake in pan 25 cm, with milk chocolate ganache. All covered in sugar paste special characters and always with sugar paste. I will not conceal that I sweat to coat the cold bath and I had to adjust the aim by that profile above the bath, which alas did not come very precise.
I would like to briefly explain what the madeira cake and leave a recipe.
E 'a cake called "basic" but its peculiarity, which differs from the traditional sponge cake, is that it provides a more solid basis, data consistency, therefore, to be able to mold to your liking. Having to implement is shaped like a tank I decided to use this recipe.
The taste is similar to a sponge cake but more humid inside, it does not need cream and bathroom in the middle. It can be filled with butter cream or ganache, I preferred to use the ganache because of my passion for chocolate, but it is also delicious simply eaten. Dovendola but used with sugar paste needs a cream.
This cake is usually appreciated by those who love simple cakes, pies if you like more stuffed and sweet (the typical Italian-style pies), this cake is not for you!
